St. Tikhon's may soon have married student housing!

(STOTS) - The Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America (FOCA), is meeting for the first time in conjunction with the All-American Council. During dinner with the hierarchs Sunday evening, Becky Tesar, FOCA President, presented Archbishop Michael, St. Tikhon's Seminary Rector, with a check for $300,000, representing the fulfillment of a pledge made by them toward our St. Tikhon's Seminary! St. Tikhon's Seminary is most grateful for all the efforts made by FOCA to complete their pledge to this important project!

    1. Living in rental properties all over the place. A tough few years for families with children.

    2. Hmm. I have considered STOTS. I have five children; I don't even know if seminary is a possibility.

    3. You wouldn't be alone. There have been large families there before. You just have to plan your money out and have people you can rely on.

  2. How do people go to seminary full time without putting themselves horribly in debt through student loans? That is an honest question, I'm genuinely curious.

    1. Historically they have expected the wives to work. I worked full-time while we were there. We came with one baby and left with three. I don't remember much because I was chronically exhausted.
