Moscow Patriarchate opens Orthodox senior care facility
(ROC-USA) - On Sunday, July 9, following Divine Liturgy in St. Gregory Church, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk visited a new Orthodox senior care facility in Clearwater, Florida. His Grace reviewed the new facility with director, Peter Schweitzer. His Grace then performed the lesser consecration of the Chapel dedicated to the Icon of the Mother of God "Rescuer of the Perishing." In honor of the opening of the facility, Bishop John presented the facility administrators with an icon of the Heavenly Protectors of North America.

Thank you very much for publishing this. This is a pan-Orthodox effort which includes Greeks, Serbs, Antiochians, Americans, and Russian Orthodox. The priests that comprise the board of directors come from every Orthodox jurisdiction serving in Tampa Bay and have been actively involved in bringing this ministry to fruition.
