Such moves make me think the Ukrainian government wants to drag the country back into the Soviet Union, not the European Union.

A further frightening development is the founding of a European and Russian exarchate by the schismatic "Kiev Patriarchate": http://www.pravoslavie.ru/103538.html

This means "Patriarch Filaret" and his gang of bandits are encroaching onto the territory of the Russian Orthodox Church against all known canons, as well as planning to open more church in Western Europe.

May God bless and protect Metropolitan Onufriy and all believers faithful to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and may those lost in schism repent and return to the True Church. I was baptized into the ROC in Moscow, but my first real encounter with Orthodoxy with via the UOC while I was studying Russian in Kiev, and hope that the Ukrainian Church will continue to bring lost sheep to Christ.
