It's not that their thought/spirit has fundamentally changed, or that post-Empire-jurisdictional "conciliarity" has suddenly become more substantial.<br /><br />Probably even more important, the gay baptism and the reaction in Greece caught the attention of EP Bartholomew and the inner circle over there, and the EP (as institution) is freezing in place for a bit to access the map as it were.<br /><br />All speculation of course.
