Pondering opening up submissions for the Eastern Christian Blog Awards under the new title 'Eastern Christian New Media Awards' to include podcasts and the like. Some podcasters from Ancient Faith Radio and elsewhere have asked whether they could be included this go round. Thoughts on the new name, broadening the field, or how to improve this year's event?

In my mind, podcasts are just audio blogs. But I certainly wouldn't think that AFR would be considered collectively, rather any particular podcast would be a reasonable consideration.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how to count Fr Stephen who usually uses his blog material for his podcast. Personally, I think he's awesome enough to include twice, but YMMV.
This is a great idea. I agree with David D. Podcasts should be voted on individually.
