(OCA Communications/Antiochian Archdiocese Department of Internet Ministry) - The Orthodox Church in America and the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America are teaming up to launch a web site offering articles, photo galleries, and audio files celebrating Holy Pascha, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the "Feast of Feasts."
"OCA Communications is very excited to be working with the Antiochian Archdiocese's Department of Internet Ministry on this project," said OCA Director of Ministries and Communications, Archpriest Andrew Jarmus. "Every common initiative brings us one step closer to the unity that is critical to the future of Orthodoxy in North America. It is my hope that this will only be the first step in an ongoing, common Internet presence for our two jurisdictions."
"We celebrate the Sunday of Orthodoxy this weekend, and remember the one faith and the one cup that unite the Body of Christ worldwide," said Douglas Cramer, Chair of the Antiochian Archdiocese Department of Internet Ministry. "Our prayer is that collaborating across jurisdictional boundaries will bear fruit for our Lord, and that by using new media to instruct and inspire we will provide those in the Church - and beyond - with more gateways to the truth, goodness and beauty of His Holy Orthodox Church."
To be found at www.FeastofFeasts.org, content for the site will include current materials from the two Churches' respective web sites and print media, as well as new material and resources from both jurisdictions.
"FeastofFeasts.org" will be launched during the sixth week of Great Lent. Both directors expressed their common hope that this web site will help teach and edify the faithful as they prepare for the greatest of all holy days: the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
