(Basilica) - Today, October 8, 2009, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, surrounded by other hierarchs, members of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church, a fragment of the relics of St. Gregory of Nazianzus, the friend of St. Basil the Great, offered by the Archdiocese of Vienna, Austria, and brought by a delegation led by Rev. Nicolae Dura, the parish priest of the Romanian Orthodox church in Vienna. At the end of the ceremony, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel addressed those present, expressing gratitude for this precious gift, and also expressing the spiritual joy of receiving the holy relics of this great Cappadocian sainta, the brother of St. Basil the Great.
