  1. Wow. I can't decide if this is really bad or not. At least it's not as bad as the Harry "Pottercrator" icon.

  3. Here's a press release, on the Web site of (I think) the local Ukrainian Greek Catholic diocese.

    http://kolomyya.org/se/sites/ep/?nid=19851

As best as I can make out the Ukrainian, it says that the icon was blessed by the Ukrainian Greek Catholic bishop Mykolaj (Simkaylo) and a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Kiev patriarchate). The latter priest's name is not given.

According to orthodoxwiki.org, Orthodox Christianity in Ukraine is currently divided into three main factions: the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate); Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Kiev Patriarchate), and Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church. Only the UOC-MP is currently in full communion with the Church of Russia and the remainder of the mainstream Orthodox Church.
