St. Anthony the Great in Spring, TX

We're down in Houston to visit family. Fr. James Early (of Saint James' Kids fame) is serving as the interim pastor at St. Anthony the Great Orthodox Church in Spring, TX for the next few months until a replacement can be found. We were blessed to have been able to make it to Vespers tonight.

This parish is about to go through quite the transformation as they break ground on a new, beautiful church this month and hope to be in it around the June-July timeframe. As I usually head down to Houston after school is out, expect before and after pictures this summer.



At the moment the parishioners are meeting in trailers. The building on the left is the church and on the right is the fellowship hall.



The icons, holy altar items, etc. are all quite nice and will look good in the new building. Apologies for the low light level - the pictures were taken before the Phos Hilarion.
