(UOC-MP) - On March 2 at the session hall of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra the inaugural Student's Conference "Students' Study at the Theological School" was opened, dedicated to the Union as a phenomenon of the church history. Taking part in the work of the plenary session was Rector of the Kyiv Theological Schools Archbishop Anthony of Boryspil.
The plenary session was opened by the greeting word of the Rector of Kyiv Theological Academy Archbishop Anthony. In particular, His Eminence noted the necessity of constant and stable growth of the theological interest among the students; modern theological problems, according to Vladyka, require true intellectual storming for their solution. In conclusion, Vladyka Rector expressed joy on the occasion of the presence of the specialists in comparative theology from Moscow and St. Petersburg at the conference: archpriest Maxim Kozlov and priest Vladimir Hulap.
Also His Eminence expressed gratitude to Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kyiv for the blessing to conduct the conference mentioned and for the overall support of the Theological schools His Beatitude renders. The greeting word of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to the conference participants was read by the Secretary of the Academic Council of the KTA archpriest Volodymyr Kotsaba.
