GOARCH synod to meet at Holy Cross Seminary

(HCHC) - Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology will host a Synaxis of The Holy Eparchial Synod of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese on campus on February 3, 2011. The hierarchs will discuss issues pertaining to the life and studies of students at Holy Cross and Hellenic College during their all day deliberations. The day will end with vespers at Holy Cross Chapel at 5 pm and then they will attend a dinner in honor of the former Dean of Hellenic College, Dr. Lily Macrakis, who will be presented The President's Award. The hierarchs will attend a lecture by His Eminence, Archbishop Demetrios, at Goddard Chapel at Tufts University on Wednesday, February 2, at 6 pm. The lecture, "The Book of Psalms: The Ecumenical and Universal Prayer", is part of the Forum on Religion in America Series. I found more on the talk here and here.
