On the future of the Armenian Church in Jerusalem

Much of what they do at the seminary is later put online as a video. I hope that's the case here. I'd also like to bring your attention to an interesting set of videos from the seminary on Armenian hymnography found here.

Abp. Vicken Aykazian
(stnersess.edu) - Archbishop Vicken Aykazian, Ecumenical Director and Legate to Washington DC for the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, will speak on the topic, The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem: Today and Tomorrow, at the Seminary on Thursday, April 7 at 7:30PM.

Archbishop Aykazian is a member of the monastic brotherhood of Sts. James in Jerusalem. He has served the Armenian Church in Europe, Armenian and the United States in a variety of pastoral, administrative, charitable and especially ecumenical ministries. From these diverse vantage points, His Eminence will discuss the role of the Armenian Church in Jerusalem in the coming years in light of numerous current challenges facing the ancient Armenian community in the Holy Land.

The Archbishop recently completed a term as President of the National Council of Churches in the USA.

The lecture and subsequent discussion are free and open to the public. A reception will follow Srpazan's presentation.
