Just to be clear, this prayer was meant to be satirical. He's making a reference to that Will Ferrell movie...
ReplyDeleteI get the reference, but when men are going to be driving almost 200 mph and this is one of the few sports that still has prayer before the start why not use the time for a real prayer? I also approach God with a bit more fear than this gentleman does. I think prayers and jokes go together like rice krispies and ketchup.
ReplyDeleteAmen Josephus - prayers should never be jokes. I'm saddened a pastor doesn't realize this. Perhaps he needs to join the clown masses at the Episc. church.
