These talks are a joy. I've watched a number of their UStream videos on their liturgy and music and, as long as you don't mind not knowing a word or two being discussed, you'll find the material intriguing.
(SNAS) - Dr. Abraham Terian, Professor Emeritus of Armenian Theology at St. Nersess Armenian Seminary will deliver a public lecture entitled, "Jerusalem and the Armenians" at the Seminary on Monday, November 7 at 7:30PM.
A native of Jerusalem, biblical archaeologist, theologian and armenologist, Dr. Terian is perhaps the world's leading expert on the history of Armenians in the Holy Land--pilgrims, monks, kings, faith healers, Catholicoses, artists, theologians, literati and more--a history that reaches back to antiquity.
The much-admired professor will be at St. Nersess in early November to work with the seminarians and faculty, while he continues his own research in the Seminary library. Dr. Terian will also be recording lectures on various topics in Armenian theology and Biblical interpretation. These lectures will be added to an archive that is used by students of the seminary.
The lecture is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the lecture.
All interested are invited to attend the lecture and to engage Dr. Terian in conversation following his presentation.
