Met. Tikhon visits San Francisco

San Francisco, CA - His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon, made his first primatial visit to the Diocese of the West the weekend of June 22-23, 2013. His Beatitude and Archbishop Benjamin served the Vigil and Divine Liturgy of Pentecost together at Holy Trinity Cathedral, the oldest Orthodox parish in the Lower 48. Many of the Pacific Central Deanery clergy concelebrated the Vigil. His Beatitude was presented with the gift of an eagle rug (orletz) that was specially prepared for him upon which is depicted an eagle soaring above the Capitol and the primate's cathedral of St. Nicholas, Washington DC.
