Important report out on Orthodox Theological Schools in US

As always, Alexei D. Krindatch's editorial comments to not sugar coat the situation he is tasked with providing statistics for while serving up a plethora of facts and figures. This will be intriguing reading for people who have graduated from one of these seminaries, those interested in a seminary education, and for the general Orthodox population who might ask the question "What the heck are they teaching them up there?"

(AOB) - The Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America has released a new study report today. The study focuses on US educational institutions that offer programs in Orthodox theology. It is based on a survey of 12 Orthodox theological schools in the US. The report examines degrees and programs offered by these schools, questions of their accreditation, student body, and faculty. Data-gathering was finalized in September 2014; all data was accurate at that time. The study was initiated by the Assembly's Committee for Theological Education. The report was prepared by the Assembly's research coordinator, Mr. Alexei Krindatch.

The report can be read here (PDF).
