Pillows? Somehow I reminded of the scene in Ostrov in which the protagonist wrestles with and beats the abbot's quilt, declaring he had somehow overlooked the biggest demon.
Yeah, the pillows are weird especially when you consider the fact that the whole point of getting down on bended knees is because it is an uncomfortable & awkward gesture of humility before Heavenly King who we are supplicating.
One word: legalism.
However, I see that the bishop who is 3rd from the right chose to forge his pillow. Axios!
