Why no mention of the calling of women to the diaconate? The Armenian orthodox Church is one of the few churches in which the ordination of women as deaconesses did NOT die out.
In the Armenian Orthodox Church? You have got to be kidding. "In 1984, Archbishop Vatche Hovsepian, Primate of the Western Diocese, ordained Seta Simonian Atamian acolyte at the holy altar of St. Andrew Armenian Church, in Cupertino, Calif. In 2002, Archbishop Gisak Mouradian, Primate of Argentina, ordained Maria Ozkul to the diaconate."

I think I've even posted that article on here before. I was referring to the Orthodox Church. I didn't mention women because... there aren't any women in the photo.
This is sadly part of a very common occurrence in Kosovo. Vandals enter churches, set them on fire, then they urinate and defecate in them. ...
"The World is trying the experiment of attempting to form a civilized but non-Christian mentality. The experiment will fail; but we must be very patient in awaiting its collapse; meanwhile redeeming the time: so that the Faith may be preserved alive through the dark ages before us; to renew and rebuild civilization, and save the World from suicide."

ReplyDeleteThat wasn't their title for the picture. Also, we don't know that women were ordained as men were.
