Moscow, February 2 (Interfax) - Catalogue of Christian shrines destroyed in Syria compiled jointly by representatives of Orthodox and Catholic Churches will be represented in Vienna.
"The first part of illustrated catalogue of destroyed Christian shrines of Syria comes off the press. Presentation of the first part will take place in Vienna," secretary for the Inter-Christian Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations (DECR) Hieromonk Stefan (Igumnov) said on Friday at a press conference in Moscow.
He told that the idea of the issuing such a catalogue appeared after visit of the joint Orthodox-Catholic delegation to Syria. Resuming the results of the visit it was decided to monitor the destroyed Christian shrines and compile a corresponding catalogue.
The presentation of the catalogue will take place in Vienna, two years after the historic meeting of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and Pope Francis of Rome at a conference dedicated to this event.
