Oh Lord and Master of all creation, have mercy on your people. Save us from the pestilence and diseases that are infecting us. I am right now at a funeral of Prof Barongo this missing the funeral of Paul, a dear friend of one of my best friends Annette. Paul succumbed to covid-19 without any symptoms. This is frightening us Lord that we have death in our lives beyond our knowledge. May Your will be done dear Doctor of all doctors. We shall continue to depend on you no matter what. Our prayers for you Father of Fathers, Patriach Irej.
ReplyDeleteWhy is someone who is asymptomatic being put in a hospital?
ReplyDeleteMy guess is preemptive. He may be in the stage before symptoms show as opposed to completely asymptomatic. At his age, he is in a high risk category so I could see that happening.
DeleteHe was in Montenegro at the burial of Met. Amphilochije and, as one can see from the video,

a huge number of people people spoke directly into his face without a mask. Hence, he probably received a very large viral load, which even for younger people gives a very intense form of the disease.
I believe he was preemptively put in the hospital in expectation of the symptoms flaring up, which usually happens a few days after the positive test result.
Please pray ardently for him over the next days !
The PCR and Antigen Tests are 90% FALSE Positive! This is GLOBAL Fraud! Cases Cases Cases but how MANY REALLY Dead FROM (not WITH) the Magic Virus?!
ReplyDeleteYea, but all that is nutin compared to the whole 'A man walked on the moon' story...
DeleteNew York Times: Your Coronavirus Test Is Positive. Maybe It Shouldn’t Be. "In three sets of testing data that include cycle thresholds, compiled by officials in Massachusetts, New York and Nevada, up to 90 percent of people testing positive carried barely any virus, a review by The Times found." https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/29/health/coronavirus-testing.html

ReplyDeleteSource says 45% to 90% depending on the test sensitivity threshold used. Note that many of be these are people that are early in the progression of illness and would presumably be a true positive later. Also 90% is meaning 90% may not be infectious at time of test, or may now be past infectious stage. Article is a case for using rapid antigen tests over PCR as initial assessment, or at least include amplification number in results, especially with huge positivity rate we now have. (At 4% positive rate high number of false positives is ok to catch the real cases, at 20% it's overwhelming the system and better to be more stringent).
ReplyDeleteIn sorry, Your missing the point if you think the false positive means that people aren't getting it...
ReplyDeleteMissing the point is par for the course unfortunately. Take your typical talking head (either in print or video "media") who has in truth has no hope of passing a statistics 101 course, have him "interpret the study" which itself combines statistics with medical training, then have your average victim of government education read said interpretation on Facebook...well, no wonder they don't know who to trust. If only they would have a bit of humility and realize it is not themselves.
