His first podcast is about how and why to participate as a member of the congregation. He mentions how it can actually be rather boring to listen to the priest, deacon, and choir tossing the liturgical ball back and forth, and that the parishioner does have a role to pray, bless, and proclaim as the liturgy requires. I admit I have not given this that much thought in the context of being "bored" as my particular parish is one where everyone sings through the entire liturgy.
