The consecration of 6 Armenian bishops

(Syriac Orthodox) - On Sunday 6 November 2011 His Eminence Archbishop Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim attended the celebration of the Holy Liturgy presided over by His Holiness Karekin II Supreme Catholicos of all Armenians at the Cathedral Church of Holy Echmiadzin. During the celebration 6 vartabeds (celibate priests) of the sister Armenian Orthodox Church were consecrated as bishops. Two of the new bishops: Their Graces Haygazoun Najjarian and Vahan Hovanessian served as priests in Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church in the New York Area under the leadership of His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Barsamian.
