National Orthodox Christian Education Association (NOCEA)

(SKC) - New National Organization for Orthodox Christian Educators Announced

Seeking Expressions of Interest

Dr Papatheofanis is organizing a new membership organization to unify and meet the needs of Orthodox Christian academic education. This includes home school programs, as well as PK-12, undergraduate, and graduate education. However, it will not include religious education and Church school programs.

The National Orthodox Christian Education Association (NOCEA) will be the professional organization for Orthodox Christian educators in the United States. The Association's principal objectives are to promote the growth and welfare of Orthodox Christian PK-12, undergraduate, and graduate education; to foster cooperation between Orthodox Christian institutions and individuals in the fields of primary, secondary, and higher education; to enable Orthodox Christian educators to work together for professional growth; to facilitate the interchange of ideas between schools and members, and to share such learning through publications and other media; to conduct educational research and professional meetings; and to increase public understanding and promote the social value of Orthodox Christian education.

Please email your expression of interest in helping to organize this Association to Dr Papatheofanis at fjp@stkath.org. We hope to build a vibrant, relevant organization to serve the needs of the children and youth of this nation.
