    1. Your putinist hate is duly noted. Aleksandr Dugin has stated that ‘only in Russia can a pure fascist state arise’, and I believe him. Look at what the hate marshaled by Putin against Ukrainians. Look how it inspires hate here.

  4. For the Ukrainian parishes in America that want a healthy relationship or connection with the autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine, this is quite good news. It's bad news for the so-called "Kievan Patriarchate" that is trying to make inroads in America by exploiting the Ukrainian nationalist tendencies of American parishes.

    1. The 'autocephalous' Orthodox Church of Ukraine...what a joke (or tragedy, for that matter)...you can't be serious?!

    2. Is it a realistic expectation for these Ukrainian parishes in America to join the OCA, ROCOR or the Moscow Patriarchate?

    3. I don't know why they couldn't join the OCA, unless they are more partial to being around other Ukrainians, or they want an Ukrainian liturgy.

I'm honestly not sure what ROCOR or the MP are doing here.

    4. There is no love lost between the Russians and Ukrainians which is totally non Christian but typical eastern orthodox. Back some 100 years ago archimandrite Adam philipovsky of Canada suggested that the bishops of the Russian mission begin an Ukrainian deanery for the leaderless Ukrainian parishes.and they did not with some of the Ukrainian parishes going under Lebanese bishop germanos

Their history is as colorful as many in the USA. They were under Constantinople long before OCA's autocephaly. Its definitely realistic for them to join the OCA. I doubt they would consider that though. I'm not really sure the OCA would be open to the idea without massive support from Constantinople, Ukraine, and Russia though.

At the same time, the question is lacking complete information. The OCA already had Ukrainians, both clergy and laity. And yes, if a huge group wanted a "Ukrainian" parish with Liturgy in Ukrainian, they'd absolutely get it in the OCA. The Diocese of the South has a new Old calendar, all Slavonic Mission parish in Florida, with a Russian priest.

  5. And why do we focus outside our boundaries and not focus on nurturing and building our church organically. Are we Greek, Ukrainian, Albanian etc or are we American Christians. This old country model is failing, just look at the escalating number of parish closings,,,,our future is not off shore, it is tragic that we do not realize this fact, this union is nice, but how does it create future here in America?
