Few people were better evangelists for the Alaskan church than Fr. Oleksa. Also, few were as good in storytelling. His efforts will have an enduring impact on the Church in America for sure. May his memory be eternal!

ReplyDeleteMemory Eternal! Several years ago I took a keen interest in his work on evangelicalism within a peculiar cultural context. In the end, less of it translated to the context of the lower 48 (i.e. post protestant religiosity, Lockean liberal and bourgeois morality typical of our communities) than I hoped, but his disposition and method of thinking it through was helpful.
