Tonsure at the Lavra of the Holy Trinity and St. Sergius

(mospat.ru) - On 31 October 2010, Metropolitan Hilarion, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, tonsured Rev. Ioann Guaita, a staff member of the DECR secretariat for interchristian relations. The newly tonsured monk was called Ioann in honour of St. John the Prophet and Baptist of the Lord.
