Orthodox Theological Society in America meeting scheduled

(HCHC) - The Orthodox Theological Society in America will meet at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology September 15-17.

The Annual Georges Florovsky Lecture, on Friday, September 16th, will be given by Fr. John McGuckin. The tentative title of of his lecture is "Frs. Georges Florovsky and Sergey Bulgakov: A Conflict of Typologies Concerning the Dialogue of Orthodoxy and Contemporary Society."

The Society has also announced its call for papers for the annual conference. Individual submissions on any topic on Orthodox theology and culture are encouraged, although complete sessions are preferred. Abstracts of each paper and of a proposed session, not to exceed 250 words in length along with an abbreviated c.v. of the presenters, should be sent to the Secretary of the Society, at secretary@otsamerica.com, no later than April 25, 2011. Presenters will have 20-25 minutes for presentation of the paper (approximately 10-12 pages) with time for questions and answers.
