I am sorry that you didn't take a moment to summarize your observations on the talk of Abbot Nicholas, or what he said that can be thought of as speaking for "How Eastern Catholics see themselves in America".
It was such a wide ranging interview that any synopsis I would have written would have fallen short. The major themes were the existence of both East and West, the value of mysticism, and what Eastern Catholics/Orthodoxy can teach Latin Catholics (what they hunger for in his thinking).
This is sadly part of a very common occurrence in Kosovo. Vandals enter churches, set them on fire, then they urinate and defecate in them. ...
"The World is trying the experiment of attempting to form a civilized but non-Christian mentality. The experiment will fail; but we must be very patient in awaiting its collapse; meanwhile redeeming the time: so that the Faith may be preserved alive through the dark ages before us; to renew and rebuild civilization, and save the World from suicide."
