During the divine services after the commemoration of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, the new administrator is to be commemorated as “and our Lord, the most reverend Bishop Matthew…”

Until special instructions are received from the new interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, communication with the Diocesan Center will be remain unchanged, through the Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Archpriest Igor Tarasov.

  1. Now and then I wonder why we have both ROCOR and Moscow Patriarchal parishes in the US. Then I decide that I'll never know.

    1. Good question. The only answer I can think of is that it is congruent with the Tomos and the Act of Canonical Communion. If ROCOR and the MP parishes could become a Ethnic Diocese in the OCA than that might take away the fear of losing their identity.

  2. in my opinion it is time to fish or cut bait - logic dictates that the moscow parishes came out of the metropolia and most have galician roots as do most of the oca parishes so a return to the oca would make most sense. st nicks can become the moscow representation church in the usa -- in fact to to its age and significance - the mother church - if you will

joining with the oca would be of benefit to both

    1. You mean the Metropolia came out of Moscow Parishes.
