"I am the door. By me if any man enter in he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture." - John 10:9 At every parish where I have had the pleasure of attending services, there is always a small group of people who find their way all the way up to the church building but don't actually attend services. + Nicolai was dismissed and should have been defrocked due to a myriad of issues in the Alaskan diocese. He alienated most all the priests in the diocese suspending many and operated as a tyrant. He dismissed the cultural traditions of the Alaskan natives and alienated the people. He mismanaged and/or absconded very large sums of money in the diocese. He refused to respect the decisions of the OCA Synod Bishops and Metropolitan dismissing their authority. The list goes on and on. He should have been defrocked and he probably will be.

He was trying to stop OCA priests and lay peope from continuing a multi-generational "tradition" of breaking canonical law, liturgical rubrics, and lack of any respect for all that is sacred within God's Church. These people should be ashamed. And uneducated, opinionated lay people don't get to make decisions about de-frocking clergy. Thank goodness. Carry on in your unwarranted hostility in your pseudo autocephalous church.
